- Wasn't Anakin supposed to be the one to bring balance? The prophecy was broken by J.J. Abrams because Palpatine (as we now know) was still alive, or resurrected soon after his fall.
- If Palpatine could destroy a massive fleet of ships with his improved lightning skills, why even have a first-order fleet of your own? What's the point?
- Where were the ships to aide the rebellion in Episode 8? All of the sudden they're willing to help?
- What the hell happened to Rose's love for Finn? It's gone. She doesn't even want to go with him on any of his journeys.
- So force heal is a thing, eh? Why didn't Luke just heal Vader after Vader saved his life?
- Some say that Luke wasn't as evolved in the force at that point. Not true. This comes after he made his own light-saber, a critical step for a Jedi. Rey knew how to force-heal before she made her own saber. Luke knew more about the force in Episode 6 than Rey did in Episode 9.
- Why'd you have to kill Ben Solo? Couldn't he just live? His death was instantaneous and very bizarre. You actually made me care about this man, and then you killed him. Also, if you're going to kill Ben Solo, could we at least see his force ghost at the end to give us a little satisfaction?
- If you're going to use Palpatine as a villain, reintroduce him in Episode 7, not the final episode. Star Wars fans are not interested in a Perry Mason style formula. We want a beautiful, consistent, three episode story arc.
- J.J. Abrams has a history of bad endings: Lost, The Force Awakens (5 seconds of Luke Skywalker), The Cloverfield Paradox, etc.
- I have no doubt that Rian Johnson royally screwed Abrams. Whether it be Rey's parents, Rose's crush, or Luke's years of disinterest in the force, J.J. Abrams was not left with a surplus of good ideas.
- Rey's grandpa is Palpatine. This is so stupid. What female did Palpatine mate with? Also, isn't it just sick how Palpatine's bloodline outlasts Skywalker's?
- Finn mentions to Rey that he has something to tell her. He never tells her this secret.
- In the movie, we are introduced to a beautiful species on a desert planet. They are celebrating some festival that takes place every forty-some-odd years. Audience now has a vested interest in these characters. We never see them again, period.
- Why didn't Obi-Wan just heal Qui-Gon? Series plot hole introduced by J.J. Abrams.
- Lesbian kiss. Was this really necessary to add to a nearly 50 year old series?
- I understand that Carrie Fisher's death caused a lot of problems with the movie. One such problem was the sheer utterance of Ben's name causing him to basically turn back to the light side. I don't buy it.
- Obvious lack of planning. It was as if each episode was written on a whim, without knowledge of the end in sight. Horrible.
- Anakin's dying mother could have been force healed by him.
- Padmé could have been force healed as she was dying during childbirth.
- Didn't have a good ending. Only ghost Luke and ghost Leia? Come on!
- Why did you bury Leia's light-saber with Luke's at Uncle Ben's house? Leia never went there!
- Why did Leia even have a light-saber? What was the point if she never even had to use it? All of the sudden, "Hey guys, guess what? My sister has a light-saber, she used to kick my butt with it, oh and here it is. Use it in battle along with my old one, oh and go to the Sith planet and lose most of your friends. See you in force Heaven, sincerely Luke." Barf.
- No happy ending for Finn. No closure to his character.
- Knights of Ren are pretty weak, and the back-story was never fully explained.
- Palpatine's resurrection not fully explained, only implied.
- Why did the First Order blow up a planet no one cared about?
- Why couldn't the 'spy' live a little bit longer to get his death at the hands of Kylo? He was killed too quickly.
- I'm still not satisfied with the Snoke back-story.
- Force ghosts can grab stuff?
- Fighting each-other when you're not in the same room?
- Force transfer of light-saber?
- Force-stealing someone's necklace?
- Memory ghost (not force ghost) of Han Solo. I mean.... you could have just done a flashback.
Is this the weakest film of the series? No, but it makes me the angriest.
