In leather boots, we find our feat,
Guardians strong on rugged street,
Through each stride, they keep us complete,
Shielding feet from stones we meet.
Many years ago, a cherished gift came my way—a rugged pair of Herman Survivors boots. Unaware of their true worth, it wasn't until a toe amputation that I discovered their invaluable potential. As my foot healed, a determination to reclaim control of my life led me to embark on a health-restoring routine of daily walks, battling type II diabetes. Though not the epitome of comfort, these Herman Survivors faithfully shielded my feet through nearly two challenging years, covering two to three miles each day, braving snow, dirt, and rocks.
Now, with a heavy heart, I must bid them farewell and seek a new companion in boots. Their absence will be felt, for they etched themselves deeply into the fabric of my life, serving me with unwavering loyalty and care.
